Julie Wheelwright
Julie Wheelwright is an internationally acclaimed author of several historical narratives, including Sisters in Arms: Female Warriors from Antiquity to the New Millennium and The Fatal Lover: Mata Hari and the Myth of Women in Espionage. A Canadian, she lives in the UK where she has taught creative non-fiction at universities in London and at Oxford and is currently an honorary research fellow at Birkbeck College. She has produced content for radio and tv documentaries for the BBC and Channel Four, written feature articles for many British newspapers and profiled hundreds of authors. She loves long distance running, house renovation and baking in between researching the fascinating lives of female spies for her next project.
